Tributes paid to off-duty police officer, 29, killed when her Fiat 500 crashed into a Land Rover – as man, 77, is arrested

Tributes have been paid to a ‘dedicated’ and ‘beautiful’ police officer who was killed following a car crash in Cheshire at the weekend. 

Alice Mayo, who served with Cheshire Police for more than six years, died after her Fiat 500 collided with a Land Rover Defender on the A534 Spark Lane in Arclid, Cheshire, on February 7.

Ms Mayo, from Congleton, was off-duty at the time of the incident. Her force have confirmed the 29-year-old died at the scene.
