A gunman arrested outside the US Capitol was carrying a loaded shotgun and wearing a tactical vest, authorities have revealed.
The would-be assailant is just 18-years-old and was spotted when he began running toward the Capitol with his weapon out, US Capitol Police Chief Michael Sullivan said Tuesday afternoon at a press conference.
He was wearing a tactical vest and was equipped with additional rounds of ammunition.
