Boyfriend who murdered Old Bailey judge’s daughter is jailed for 23 years after he stabbed her to death and blew up her £1.4m home in gas explosion

An electrician who stabbed a judge’s daughter to death in a frenzied rage before blowing up her home in a gas explosion has been handed a life sentence and jailed for 23 years.

Clifton George, 45, killed his partner Annabel Rook, 46, by punching, throttling and stabbing her 31 times during a row at their north London home after she said they should end their ten-year relationship.

Ms Rook worked with abused women and began a relationship with George even after she was warned against him as ‘a wrong un’ because he had cheated on his partner to be with her.
