A newborn baby died after his mother concealed her pregnancy and gave birth without medical help, an inquest has heard.
Jasper Gunton was born at his mother Mia Gunton’s home in Blackburn on December 21, 2023.
Ms Gunton had concealed her pregnancy and had not sought any antenatal care.
After Jasper was born, his mother took him to bed with her and allowed him to sleep on her chest.
When she woke, she discovered the child was unresponsive.
Paramedics rushed to the scene but Jasper could not be resuscitated and was pronounced dead.
His cause of death could not be ascertained.
