Trump made the statement after he hosted an Oval Office meeting between ‘high ranking representatives’ of Israel and Lebanon.
‘The United States is going to work with Lebanon in order to help it protect itself from Hezbollah,’ Trump posted on Truth Social.
‘The Ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon will be extended by THREE WEEKS.’
The ongoing military campaign by Israel in southern Lebanon has been just one of major roadblocks preventing an end to hostilities between Iran and the US.
