Trump reveals status of Secret Service agent who was shot at White House Correspondents’ Dinner as officers swarm alleged shooter’s home: Live updates

Shots rang out at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner on Saturday night, sending the annual star-studded event into chaos as President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania were dramatically rushed from the ballroom by Secret Service.

The glitzy event was barely underway when a suspect armed with a ‘major weapon’ stormed the hotel lobby. A source told the Daily Mail that Cole Tomas Allen, 31, is the alleged shooter. 

In a press conference shortly after the shooting unfolded, Trump confirmed that a Secret Service agent was injured  but they remain stable.
