How Emily Atack’s bond with actress mother Kate Robbins was marred by difficult teenage years and her parents’ ‘mistakes’ that saw her follow in the footsteps of the Spitting Image and EastEnders star without any help

As the daughter of an acclaimed actress, it would be easy to assume that Emily Atack spent her childhood learning the ropes from her mother. 

Yet Emily’s bond with mum Kate Robbins was in fact strained for many years, with The Inbetweeners star previously saying her childhood ‘came crashing down’ when her parents ended their 21-year marriage in 2008.
