A pint of beer at the airport will set you back 32 per cent more than at your local pub, a study has found.
Researchers looking at prices at airports across the UK found the average cost of a pint of lager was £7.24 while the average price of a pint in a UK pub is £5.50.
The most expensive was found at Liverpool’s John Lennon Airport, where the average beer costs £7.94.
Those leaving from Stansted are the luckiest, having to stump up only £6.45 for a pre-flight drink.
The research was carried out by price comparison website Idealo.
