A British man has died in a paragliding accident in north-east Spain after getting tangled in power lines.
The incident unfolded on Wednesday afternoon near Palau de Noguera, a small historic village a short drive from the town of Tremp in the Catalan province of Lleida.
Emergency services rushed to the scene following reports that the 63-year-old had been critically injured.
It was not immediately clear if the Brit lived in Spain or had gone paragliding as part of a holiday.
A police investigation into the incident was ongoing on Thursday, but according to a source, the unnamed man’s death is being probed as an accident.
