The captain who raced to the rescue of Mike Lynch’s £30million superyacht has described the moment he found the British tech billionaire’s wife clinging to a raft after the boat capsized.

Mr Lynch, his 18-year-old daughter Hannah and five others perished after the Bayesian went down close to the fishing village of Porticello, Sicily, in August 2024 after being hit by a fierce storm with 100mph winds.

The entrepreneur was onboard with 11 guests including his wife Angela Bacares, who was rescued alongside five passengers and 10 crew members.
