Urgent recall on apples and kiwi fruit sold at supermarkets across the country over Salmonella fears

There has been an urgent recall on apples and kiwi fruit sold at supermarkets across Britain following fears of potential Salmonella contamination.

An alert was issued on Tuesday by the Food Standards Agency (FSA) stating PrepWorld – the specialist fruit supplier – has recalled several fruit packets from major grocery stores after testing identified Salmonella in apple and kiwi used in various products.

The affected products are prepped fruits sold in shops including ASDA, Morrisons, M&S, Sainsbury’s, Tesco and Waitrose

All the fruits, including Pink Lady apples, have specific best-by dates of June 23 to 24.

Among the affected products include ASDA’s 220g Pink Lady
