Wish you weren’t here! Pink Floyd’s Dave Gilmour cuts price of seafront home in half to £8.25m after battle with campaigners over his rebuild

By the time Pink Floyd‘s Dave Gilmour finally finished renovating a former Victorian bathhouse on the Sussex coast, the message from residents was clear – and quite the opposite of his band’s 1975 chart-topping hit Wish You Were Here.

But Mr Gilmour’s four-year effort to sell the redeveloped six-bedroom townhouse has reached a new ebb after it was listed again for almost half its original asking price.

In 2022 the luxury Hove property went on sale for an enormous £15million after a long-running battle with campaigners, who formed a group called ‘Save Hove from Property Tycoons’.
