A husband who murdered his wife after tricking their child into helping him cover up the attack has had his prison sentence increased.
Robert Rhodes, 53, was originally handed a life sentence with a minimum term of 29 years and six months after being found guilty of slaughtering estranged wife Dawn Rhodes at their family home in 2016.
But the minimum term of his sentence has now been increased to 33-and-a-half years after the Court of Appeal ruled it was ‘unduly lenient’.
