Celebrity Gogglebox star Vernon Kay was reduced to tears after hearing the story of a young pianist who lost her fingers and legs to meningitis when she was four.
Grace Matthews, 19, appeared on Claudia Winkleman‘s Channel 4 show The Piano after her application for the hit show was endorsed by a music therapist at Addenbrooke’s Hospital where she was treated.
Vernon and his Celebrity Gogglebox co-stars couldn’t contain their emotions as they watched Grace’s remarkable performance.
He said: ‘Go on Grace, jeez’, before breaking down in tears.
