Manhunt after driver ploughs into crowd during Pride parade in Germany’s capital Berlin – with at least one person killed and multiple injuries

A driver who is a suspected member of the ‘Islamist scene’ has ploughed into a crowd of people in a ‘brutal attack’ near Berlin‘s Pride celebrations, killing one person and several others injured.

The incident happened on Saturday evening just hours after the city’s annual Christopher Street Day (CSD) pride event began, prompting police to call off the event in the German capital. 

Berlin Police said they, alongside emergency services, were responding to the incident where a white van charged through the city’s central Tiergarten Park, near the Brandenburg Gate.
