Shamed former MP Mike Amesbury, whose life fell apart when he was jailed for punching one of his constituents, has been dealt another bitter blow – the collapse of his marriage.
The ex-Labour politician, who was jailed for ten weeks, suspended for two years, over the attack, previously revealed he had received treatment for depression in the wake of the incident.
He has also disclosed he was forced to put his family home on the market, after he was kicked out by his party, gave up his seat and lost his £91,000-a-year parliamentary salary.
