A director of a ‘fake’ Turkey-based charity faces extradition to the US after he was arrested amid accusations he funnelled money and supplies to Hamas.
Mohammad Yousef Hasna, 45, is accused of using his senior role at a ‘sham’ global humanitarian organisation to co-ordinate with Hamas’s senior leadership.
The man, from Istanbul, is alleged to have organised the delivery of funds and supplies to Gaza, and the distribution of them at Hamas’s instructions.
Hasna was arrested in the United Kingdom today and is being held pending extradition proceedings, before he can be brought to New York.
