A man has been charged with murder after a 36-year-old father was shot dead at a traveller site in Wiltshire.
Jimmy Ward suffered fatal gunshot wounds and was declared dead at the scene at about 8.15am on Sunday in Calcutt Traveller Site, a permanent council-approved site near Cricklade, on the outskirts of Swindon.
Police announced today that 35-year-old Shane Porter, of Calcutt Park, has been charged with Mr Ward’s murder and possession of a shotgun without a certificate.
He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear before magistrates via videolink later today.
