Perez Hilton‘s mother Teresita Lavandeira has filed to obtain temporary custody of his three children in the wake of his self-harm livestream, the Daily Mail can confirm.
Hilton, 48, was taken to the hospital in Miami last Tuesday after the police received emergency calls alerting them to a potential suicide attempt.
Footage from the stream, which the Daily Mail has chosen not to republish, appears to show him smeared in blood after seemingly having cut himself with a knife.
His team subsequently issued a statement assuring the public his ‘children remain safe and are being cared for by immediate family.’
