Amy Hunt clinches European Championships sprint double: Team GB golden girl beats rival Dina Asher-Smith in 200m final

Amy Hunt completed a brilliant sprint double by landing 200m gold in Birmingham – but warned there will be no celebrating until her target of four is complete.

The 24-year-old is seeking a historic quadruple this week and is now halfway there after blitzing the field in 22.19.

Dina Asher-Smith was the last sprinter to double up at this competition eight years ago but could only manage bronze on this occasion.

The home hopefuls were in adjacent lanes and Asher-Smith got the better start around the bend as she sought a seventh European gold.

But Hunt reeled her compatriot in on the home straight
