A murder probe has been launched after one woman died and eight others were rushed to hospital following a fire in London.
Metropolitan Police officers attended a property on Berkley Avenue in Hounslow, in the west of the capital, in the early hours of Wednesday following reports of a fire.
Nine people were rushed to hospital, where one woman, 48, died despite the best efforts of medical staff.
Her next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained police officers.
Another woman, 40, remains in hospital with her condition being described as ‘life-threatening’.
