The start of a new year at Christ’s College comprehensive and the arrival of a new chemistry teacher had caused quite a stir.
Sally-Anne Bowen was bubbly, blonde and in her mid-20s – in other words nothing like her ‘fusty’ lab coat-wearing colleagues at the all-boys school in north London.
Favouring short skirts and tight tops she quickly came to exert a Pied Piper-like hold over her pupils, who immediately installed her at the top of their ‘fittest teacher’ list.
Of course, while unedifying, such behaviour among teenage boys is hardly unheard of.
