Sir Alex Ferguson is at Old Trafford to give his support to his beloved Manchester United, but is doing so injured.

The iconic former Red Devils boss arrived at the Theatre of Dreams with his lower left leg in a protective boot on Sunday ahead of their first home Premier League match of the season against Ipswich Town.

Ferguson, 84, was assisted out of the car as he also walked with a stick to aid his balance.

As Ferguson got out of the car a loud cheer greeted him from United supporters.
