A woman has been left fighting for her life after she was reportedly shot with an air rifle in a house in Barnsley – as three people are arrested on suspicion of her attempted murder.
Emergency services were called to Windsor Street, in the South Yorkshire village of Thurnscoe, at 9.50pm on Tuesday over reports of a person with a suspected firearm.
A woman was rushed to hospital with serious injuries, where she remains in a critical condition, South Yorkshire Police said.
A 26-year-old woman was arrested at the house on Tuesday on suspicion of attempted murder.
