Trump puts a date on when he believes Iran war will end as he looks to rally sinking Republicans: ‘They can’t hold out’

President Donald Trump has once again predicted an end to the Iran war as he headed to Dallas to rally Republicans ahead of November’s midterm elections.

Unsurprisingly he delivered a politically favorable prediction.  

‘I think the war’s going to immediately end after the election,’ Trump told reporters on Wednesday, because the Iranians ‘can’t hold out any longer.’

The comment comes as the unpopularity of the Iran war looms over the president’s party as it faces losing both the US House and Senate this fall. 

The Iran war has now lasted more than six months and claimed the lives of 18 American service members.
