Katy Perry’s cinema ‘blockbuster’ makes just £21,000 at UK box office

She is – or rather was – one of the bestselling pop stars in history. But amid dwindling album sales, Katy Perry‘s freefalling career appears to have hit a new low after her concert film bombed at the box office.

The singer’s £4 million film, shot over two nights of her Lifetimes tour in Paris last year, was intended to bring millions of fans together to celebrate her music. But The Mail on Sunday has learned that the film made just £21,000 on its limited release in UK cinemas earlier this month.

Around 150 cinemas and IMAX theatres across the country staged
