Iranian influencer is sentenced to death for ‘insulting the Ayatollah and sharing pictures of air strike damage’

A blogger has allegedly been sentenced to death for ‘insulting Iran’s supreme leader’ after sharing a chilling final Instagram post.

Marzieh ‘Sevda’ Ebrahimi Shamsabadi is being held in Bandar Abbas Prison following her arrest earlier this year.

The Iranian blogger, understood to be 33, was convicted by Branch 3 of the Bandar Abbas Revolutionary Court, according to information obtained by Iran International.

Before she was detained, she left a chilling final message for her roughly 10,000 Instagram followers, as reported by NeedToKnow.

She wrote: ‘If one day I leave this world, just know one thing – I chose the path I believed in.’
