A judge has been disciplined after he was caught speeding while rushing to court.
Deputy District Judge Charles Crow was handed nine penalty points on his driving licence for three offences between November 2023 and March 2026, the Judicial Conduct Investigations Office (JCIO) said.
He apologised and said he was embarrassed by his conduct, vowing to use more public transport and speed-limiting controls when driving – as well as improving his time management.
Crow was given formal advice for misconduct.
The JCIO said in a public notice about the misconduct proceedings: ‘Judge Crow apologised and stated that he was embarrassed by his conduct.
