The Atlantic puffin, barn owl, buff-tailed bumblebee and European hedgehog have been chosen to feature on the next generation of Bank of England notes.
But do not expect to see the new notes in your wallet just yet, as the first denomination is still several years away, with the designs yet to be finalised and revealed.
