A man who allegedly stabbed a British toddler at a playground in the French Alps will go on trial after being charged with 13 counts of attempted murder.
Abdalmasih Hanoun is accused of stabbing a girl, named locally at the time as three-year-old Ettie, during an alleged knife rampage at a park in Annecy, south-east France, in June 2023.
He is also charged with the attempted murder of 12 other people and armed resistance.
Ettie had been visiting the area with her parents, officials said, and was one of four children aged between 22 months and three years who were wounded.
