A police officer has been hospitalised after being shot in Nottingham city centre.
Two suspects, a man and a woman, fled the scene after they were approached shortly before the alleged shooting at 4.50am on Sunday.
Police recovered a sawn-off shotgun but the suspects remain at large.
A cordon was set up on Angel Row, near the Nottingham City Council building, where the ‘shocking incident’ took place.
Footage shared with the Daily Mail shows the police officer slumped against the entrance to a Taco Bell fast-food restaurant as a member of the public holds his bare foot in the air.
