Heartbroken lobster died of loneliness days after animal rights activist ‘liberated’ his tankmate into the sea

An animal rights activist who attempted to ‘liberate’ a lobster by stealing it from a restaurant and flinging it into the sea has been blamed for a second tragedy – after the creature’s tankmate died of loneliness shortly after.

Eco-warrior Emma Smart, 47, stormed into Catch at the Old Fish Market in Weymouth, Dorset, and ‘freed’ the crustacean which she believed was going to be eaten.

However it likely died as soon
