A woman in her 30s has been arrested after two children died in a house fire in Wolverhampton, West Midlands, last night.
Police confirmed that a one-year-old and a three-year-old boy died in the blaze on Friday evening, which is being investigated.
The woman, who remains in custody this afternoon, was arrested on suspicion of causing or allowing the death of two children.
Neighbours said they had heard ‘screaming and shouting’ during the blaze.
Officers were called to Mason Street at about 8.30pm on Friday evening along with the West Midlands Fire Service and the West Midlands Ambulance Service, West Midlands Police said.
