A mother and her seven-year-old son have died in a ‘tragic accident’ after getting into difficulty in the water at a west London park, police have confirmed.
Officers rushed to the scene at Elthorne Park, in Ealing, just before 4.30pm on Saturday.
The large park, a popular spot in the leafy west London suburb, is bordered by the River Brent.
The mother and son were pulled from the water, but they were both tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
