Alex Jones’ Infowars has dramatically ended its broadcast for the final time on Friday after failing to pay damages to the Sandy Hook shooting victims’ families.
The far-right commentator’s controversial site officially went off the air on Thursday, and a comedian working for satirical site The Onion has accused Jones of trying to ‘derail’ its purchase of Infowars with a Hail Mary legal move.
Weeks after The Onion said it reached a deal to buy Infowars, comedian Tim Heidecker, who is the site’s new Creative Director, said that Jones had ‘temporarily’ thwarted the deal.
