A third Brit is feared to be infected with hantavirus on Tristan da Cunha, the world’s most remote inhabited island with less than 300 residents.

The UK Health Security Agency said on Friday that two British nationals have confirmed hantavirus, with an additional suspected case of a British national on the remote island.

Seven British nationals disembarked the MV Hondius on the neighbouring island of St Helena on April 24, but it is understood that the suspected case on Tristan da Cunha is not one of those seven people.
