A police officer drowned in a harbour following a booze-fuelled night out where he downed lager and shots, a court heard.
Rehaan Akhtar, a 28-year-old constable with South Wales Police, had been out drinking with friends in Bristol when he disappeared in the early hours of November 23 last year.
Avon Coroner’s Court heard that Mr Akhtar was reported missing after he failed to return to the hostel where he was staying.
The next day his body was sadly recovered by divers from Bristol harbourside.
One of the friends out with Mr Akhtar last year, Corey Griffiths, told the court they had started drinking in the afternoon
