Radio 4’s Jon Holmes has recalled telling his children about his devastating cancer diagnosis and revealed he only got tested for the disease because he is adopted.

The Dead Ringers co-creator, 57, was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2023 after being encouraged by Stephen Fry, who had the disease in 2017, to get checked. 

Jon, who shares daughters Isla and Maisie with his wife Nicki, recalled the moment he told his daughters about his diagnosis.
