Hard-left MP Zarah Sultana has called for Britain to boycott Eurovision in the wake of Israel qualifying for the final.
The Israeli entrant to the song contest, Noam Bettan, was booed by some of the audience as he performed at the semi-final in Austrian capital Vienna on Tuesday evening.
He triumphed regardless, and will appear in the final in the city on Saturday.
But MP Sultana – who left Labour and co-founded Your Party with former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, who has been accused of anti-Semitism – greeted news of the qualification with a blunt tweet on X: ‘Boycott Eurovision.’
