Police arrest 107 people for supporting proscribed terror group Palestine Action at protest outside court where four activists are being sentenced for raid on Israeli defence firm

Scores of Palestine Action supporters have been arrested outside court as a judge prepares to make a landmark ruling.

Mr Justice Johnson is today sentencing four activists after they raided an Israeli defence factory in the UK and fractured a police officer’s back.

He decided to sentence on the basis the attack was an ‘act of terrorism’ as he handed down his sentences to the quartet for criminal damage.

He told Woolwich Crown Court the damage done was ‘not trivial or minor’ and the aim of the raid was to either stop Elbit operating or ’cause the Government to prevent it operating’.
