Boy, 3, now in a stable condition after being ‘bitten by saltwater crocodile’ in attack caught on CCTV: Toddler was at zoo with his mother and a baby ‘when thrown into pool by man with learning difficulties’

The three-year-old boy hurled into a reptile pit by a man with special needs was bitten by a saltwater crocodile in front of his mother and her baby – but he is slowly recovering from the catastrophic attack, it was revealed today.

The child suffered a shattered arm and pelvis with CCTV showing the brutal attack at Old Hurst zoo in Cambridgeshire now handed to detectives.

Police today confirmed he is no longer in a critical condition, but remains in hospital.

The 30-year-old man arrested at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder was almost immediately bailed until September 18 after police said
