Lionel Richie was sent to hospital after falling ill onstage on Wednesday.
The music legend, 77, sparked widespread fears after revealing he was feeling ‘dizzy’ and sitting down during his performance – before abruptly ending his show in Grand Casino Arena in St Paul, Minnesota.
Now sources close to the star have told TMZ that paramedics met the hitmaker backstage, and he was taken by ambulance to a hospital.
It was noted it was a precautionary measure but Richie’s current health status remains unknown and his team has yet to publicly address the concert.
The Daily Mail has contacted representatives for Richie for comment.
