At least 14 killed after helicopter belonging to world’s largest oil company crashes in Saudi Arabia

At least 14 people were killed in Saudi Arabia when a Saudi Aramco helicopter carrying them crashed on Sunday, killing everyone aboard. 

The accident occurred around 6am local time (3am GMT) in Ras Tanura, in the country’s east, and all of the people killed were Saudi nationals, a statement from the world’s biggest oil firm said. 

There was no further information about what caused the crash.

The helicopter belonged to Aramco, the world’s largest oil company, which is majority-owned by Saudi Arabia.

Local media reported that an investigation was under way to determine the cause of the crash.
