A Dutch woman and her friend were allegedly kidnapped, tortured and gang-raped after travelling to Pakistan to meet a group of crypto investors.
The 35-year-old woman from Zaanstad claimed she had travelled to the South Asian country at the invitation of the grandson of a top politician, who promised her networking opportunities with investors for her company.
He has since been arrested alongside three other suspects, according to Dutch media.
The women claimed they arrived in Pakistan on June 26, and were picked up in the airport by the politician’s grandson, who allegedly supplied them with the necessary visas to visit the country.
