Boston skydiver, 28, killed after freak gust of WIND flattened his parachute when he was just 30 feet away from landing safely

A young Boston man died during a freak skydiving incident just before landing safely when his parachute was caught in a ‘sudden and unexpected gust of wind.’ 

The victim, 28, fell to the ground from a height of 30 feet and suffered serious injuries after the fatal gust of wind interfered with his parachute, according to the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office. 

Authorities said first responders rushed to Jumptown Skydiving, a facility in Orange, Massachusetts, at around 4pm on Sunday after receiving reports of a serious accident.
