Lee Ryan could face jail for telling British Airways attendant he ‘wanted her chocolate babies’ in racially aggravated assault after losing bid to overturn conviction

Boyband frontman Lee Ryan is set to be sentenced for a racially aggravated assault on a black air stewardess after losing a High Court bid to clear his name.

Ryan, 43, lead singer of the band Blue, was dragged before a court after telling a British Airways cabin crew member Leah Gordon that she was like a ‘sweet chocolate chip cookie’.

The singer, who was also accused of taking the flight attendant’s wrists in his hands in the July 2022 incident, was convicted by magistrates in 2023 of racially aggravated assault.
