An 11-year-old boy was killed after his bicycle was struck by a bus and car as he tried to cross the road to meet his mother, an inquest has heard.

Seth Fulton, described by his family as a ‘sweet’ child who ‘loved wildlife’, suffered serious injuries in Nottingham Road in Chaddesden, Derby, on the evening of April 17.

He had been cycling along the pavement when he saw his mother on the other side of the street and decided to cross over to her.
