A cyclist who reported bad driving to police with footage he filmed while on his bike ended up being fined for his own poor riding.
The video showed a car passing too close to him in Menston, near Ilkley.
But police said he also exposed himself ‘riding without due care and attention’ as he cycled too closely to a parked car and an oncoming vehicle.
The force said he should have slowed down or unclipped from his pedals.
He was made to appear at Bradford Magistrates’ Court and pay £1,200 in fines and fees.
