Tourist is seriously injured with ‘extensive blood loss’ after ‘deep bite’ while swimming in the Med off Italian holiday resort

A Swiss tourist has been left seriously injured and suffering extensive blood loss after being bitten while swimming on a Mediterranean beach. 

The man, 55, went for a dip in the sea at Myosotis beach in the Italian coastal town of Pioppi on Tuesday when a mystery fish bit his leg and left him with a deep wound, according to reports. 

The pain is said to have been so severe that the man struggled to make it back to shore and had to call for help. 

As the man began to lose a lot of blood, beach-goers and lifeguards rushed to help stop
