The Radio 5 Live presenter to be replaced by Naga Munchetty said she was ‘struggling to hold it together’ as she announced she would be leaving the job on Tuesday after 15 years. 

Rachel Burden, 51, has presented the BBC Radio 5 Live weekday breakfast show since 2011 and almost broke down as she reflected live on air about the decision to depart the show. 

It came as it was revealed Naga is to leave BBC Breakfast after 17 years to join the station’s flagship morning show where she will replace Rachel.
